Look open. Look alive.

A listing with no recent activity reads as "maybe closed" — to customers and to Google, which quietly favors fresher competitors. The fix costs you ten minutes a month.

Do this

  1. Post monthly, minimum. One photo plus two sentences counts. The special of the month, a finished project, a new arrival.
  2. Reuse what you already post. That Facebook or Instagram post you made? Put the same photo and caption on your Google listing. Same work, second storefront.
  3. Use Offers and Events when you have them. A weekend special or a community event posted as an Offer/Event shows up bigger in your listing.
  4. Announce changes as posts. New hours, holiday closures, a new service — a quick post catches customers your hours field might miss.
Make it a routine: first Monday of the month One post, first Monday, every month — pair it with the quarterly holiday-hours check from Part 1. If a review came in since last month, answer it while you're in the dashboard.
